Turkey Shaped Handpie w/ Goat Cheese & Dried Cranberry & Cherry Filling

This was inspired by a puff pastry pie I saw in a Food Network commercial! It was SO CUTE! You can take the class on the app; here's a link with more info.

What I used:
- defrosted Pillsbury Pie crust (this is about 1/3 to 1/2 of 1 pie crust)
You could fill it with anything! I did goat cheese with dried cranberries and dried cherries.
Filling:
- Vermont Creamery Goat Cheese covered with cranberries
- dried cranberries
- dried cherries
After the pie crust defrosted, I rolled it out, then I carved or drew a turkey outline with a butterknife. For the feathers part, I just made an outline at first.

Then I went back and cut it into thinner strips and braided together 2 strips to make the feather detail.

I added the filling! I contemplated not covering the filling, but then I thought that it would melt everywhere, so I covered it with another piece of pie crust.

Here it is after baking -- about 12-13 min. SO CUTE! Give it a try! We are good at this!
