Tip: Use Patties (Ground Beef/Chicken/Turkey) for Recipes!

If you can't find ground beef/chicken/turkey at your grocery store or have a bunch of burger patties already, here's a quick tip!
I ordered a bunch of Omaha Steaks burgers -- for burgers, but also just to use as ground beef! It's really easy. I also bought gift baskets for myself for ingredients (You can get meat & cheese if your grocery store is out) -- check out that post!
This only works with frozen beef/chicken/patties which are just meat -- not the frozen microwaveable hamburgers.
1.) Let them thaw in the refrigerator or defrost until they are soft and not frozen.
2.) Use a fork to mash up the patty into ground beef on a plate before cooking. Here I used it for taco meat -- check out that post! I mashed it up on a plate before putting it in the hot pan.
You can now use it in any recipe that calls for ground beef/ground meat! This is ~4 oz. If you are making a bigger amount, just mash up more patties.
