Spaghetti w/ Sausage and Spinach / #WorldPastaDay



Here's a quick meal idea I'm posting for #WorldPastaDay! It s quick and easy and looks fancy too! Haha! :)

What I used: - Barilla Protein Spaghetti

- Italian Sausage link (baked, pre-cooked)

- Frozen Spinach

- Parmesan cheese

- Olive oil (just a tiny drizzle)

- Salt & Pepper (to taste)








I boiled some spaghetti in generously salted water and drained it and put it in a bowl as shown to the right. Then I just added some frozen spinach to the pasta and microwaved it for 30-60 seconds (just to thaw and cook the spinach). The photo shows the pasta with frozen spinach before microwaving.


As I mentioned in another post (link), a lot of times if I used frozen spinach in a recipe than I will pat it dry with a paper towel, but not so with pasta. There is a little moisture that comes from heating up the spinach, but it doesn't matter here. :)

I had an Italian sausage link, which I baked and cut into smaller pieces.


Then I just drizzled a tiny bit of olive oil and added some parmesan cheese.
