Ramen in a Pan: Faster & Less Mess

You can cook ramen noodles in a pan! I think it may be faster and it is especially helpful if you are using the ramen noodles for noodle dishes because then you can easily cook it all in one pan. I tried this out when all my pots were in the dishwasher & it works.

I think it may be a faster way to cook the ramen noodles because you have a large surface area of heat cooking the noodles in a pan (vs. pot.) and I think it boils the water faster in a pan (shallow water vs. a pot with deeper water).

I think this would work for other types of noodles that are quick to cook -- ~5-7 min too.

Give it a try! We are good at this!


1.) Fill the pan with water and put your ramen noodles in.

-- The ramen noodles may only be 1/2 or 2/3 submerged in water.

2.) Since the noodles are not completely submerged in water, cover them with pan lid. This keeps the heat in and kind of cooks the top part of the noodles.

3.) After 2-3 minutes, flip the noodles to cook the other half of the noodles (the noodles that were on "top".)

4.) Drain water and cook your noodle dish. That's it!
