Quick Meatloaf (7-10 min.)

The base is pre-made meatloaf that you can buy at the butcher. You might think that it still takes a long time to cook. It can be super quick. It is cheap too. I got ~1/3 lb. of beef meatloaf for $2.22. That's cheap! (They also had turkey meatloaf.)

I like meatloaf to be crisp on the outside and moist on the inside.

I just took it out of the package and put it in a pan with oil on medium-high and seared all the sides for a few minutes. Then, I put it in the microwave for 2 minutes to cook the middle. It probably would have been done at this point.

I had pre-heated the oven to 425 degrees. After the microwave, I put it in the oven for 5 minutes to finish it off.

I served it with bacon jam , peppers and onions, roasted potatoes and spinach I had made. Yum! Photos as at the bottom of the post.

Next time, I will just try searing it for a few minutes and then microwaving it for 3 minutes (no oven).

If you like meatloaf sandwiches, that is probably the quickest way. You can cut it into slices that are ~1/2 inch thick and sear both sides (2-3 minutes each; 5-6 minutes total) like I describe in my cheeseburger post.

Alternatively, you can just put the in the oven for awhile.
