Quick & Easy Fancy Looking Snowflake No-Bake Cheesecake: Design and Dessert Idea

Here is another easy and fancy looking design and dessert idea for a fun wintry-themed dessert.

Here I used the same technique that I used to make the Chocolate Christmas trees in that I melt the chocolate directly in the Ziploc bag and used it as a piping bag too (no mess!).

There is one additional tip when you are using a silicone mold with chocolate which I write about below.

I also used the same technique to make the snowflake as I did in my awesome melting gelatin snowflake post in that I used my flower silicone mold.

(Side note: Of course, this mold will come in handy in the spring & summer to make actual flowers -- the shape of the mold. :) )

I sprayed the silicone mold with cooking spray. I don't know if this matters.

I piped the melted chocolate into the flower silicone mold. I piped it into 7 flowers total (6 flowers and outer "stems" and 1 flower.)

** After you pipe the melted chocolate into the mold, you need to tap the mold on the counter on a couple times, so that it evens it out and makes it a nice smooth edge. I've seen on that Food Network, haha. :)

Then put it in the fridge to set.

To form your snowflake: Arrange the 1 central flower without a flower stem in the middle and then arrange 6 flower + "stems" around it to form your snowflake.

That's it! Give it a try! It's so easy and fancy looking (see photo below at the bottom of the post). We are good at this! I'm going to try it with hard candy in the silicone mold too. Stay tuned!

Jell-O No-Bake Cheesecake

Obviously, you can make a no-bake cheesecake from a different recipe or bake a cheesecake, but I like this Jell-O No-Bake Cheesecake too. It's easy and it tastes good. It also has much much lower calories than a typical no-bake cheesecake homemade recipe.

The mini 4” cheesecake I made (in a previous post, see link) had ~1000 calories or something without the cookie dough, but would have had to add graham cracker or Oreo + butter for crust, so probably 1200 or 1300 calories. The equivalent size for No Bake Cheesecake in a box is around 300-400 calories, but I think you can make a 9” round. I made 3 smaller cheesecakes from 1 box to practice mirror glazes and ganache. Stay tuned!
