Maple Sage Bacon-Wrapped Turkey Breasts / Maple Syrup Day
This was inspired by a recipe I saw on the Kitchen from Katie Lee Beigel
.We made a smaller version. :) This was part of our mini-Thanksgiving feast -- that was still really big!
You can make this any day or it's special enough for the Holidays!
You can even make it for Maple Syrup Day (Dec. 17)! :) I thought this would be a fun post because it's an unexpected way to use maple syrup!
What I used:
- Turkey Breast Cutlets
- Sage & sage powder
- Walden Farms Syrup (no calories!)
- Chopped dried onions
- Garlic Powder
Btw the croutons looked good, but I didn't do them because we had stuffing/dressing plus baguette with cheese.
I mixed some butter with the spices and then I put chunks of butter on the turkey cutlets plus some more sage...one got A LOT of sage. Haha! :) Oops!
Then I poured some syrup and wrapped them in bacon and then poured some more syrup on there! I baked it at 350 degrees for ~45 minutes.
Out of the oven!
Looking fancy! It's really tasty! Turkey breasts are so lean that the bacon helps keep them nice and moist and of course it's tasty!
Give it a try! We are good at this!
