Hot Dogs with Charred Cheesy Chili-Lime Corn Topping
Updated: Aug 24, 2020

I saw this hot dog on the Food Network app and it looked good and a Mexican twist with cheesy chili-lime corn topping!
I love hot dogs! It's Hot Dog Day and Hot Dog Month! Though I eat hot dogs any time of the year. :)

The corn topping is a spin on Elote, or Mexican Street Corn.

What I used:
- Hebrew National hot dog
- Brioche hot dog bun
- Corn
- Sour Cream
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Lime
- Cotija Cheese
- Cayenne Pepper
- Paprika
I roasted the corn in the oven at 350 degrees. Then I charred it on the stove.
I mixed all the ingredients together other than the hot dog and bun together for the topping.
Note: When I just let the bun warm in the oven after I turned off the oven, so it wouldn't burn.
I like my hot dogs to be crispy, so actually before I made the corn topping. I seared the hot dog in the pan with a little oil.
RESULT: Success! :)
We are good at this! How good does that look? It was a really tasty twist for hot dogs that I definitely wouldn't have thought of. There is a nice texture from the charred corn and it's also tangy and creamy with a tiny bit of heat!
Give it a try! We are good at this!
