Ham, Spinach, Cheese Toast / Leftover Ham Series #6

This is a riff on a Ham and Spinach Grilled Cheese I saw on the Food Network app, but then I was looking at the recipe and it needed a food processor, which I don't have. Then I changed gears and made this open-faced sandwich or Toast.

What I used:

- Sara Lee white bread

- Spiral Ham

- Bread Cheese

- Spinach

I toasted the bread.

Meanwhile, I put a little oil in a pan and put it on medium. I put in some pieces of ham to warm it up and caramelize it. Then I put the spinach leaves, which I had washed & dried into the pan to soften them. Lastly, I took out the spinach and put it to the side and I put the piece of bread cheese in the pan and warmed it up until it got a little ooey gooey.

Then I stacked it on top of the bread:

- Ham first (bottom)

- Cheese

- Spinach on (top)

That's it! Bread cheese has a nice melti-ness to it, which is also a little firm. It reminds me of Halloumi cheese. So you get a grilled cheese vibe from this open-faced sandwich and then there is ham and spinach. Yum!
