Green Chile Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese
This was inspired by a dish on the menu at Nexus Brewery (link) in Albuquerque New Mexico that I saw on DDD on the Food Network. I don't think they made the dish. They just mentioned it was on the menu and I thought it was a fun idea to have Green Chile Pulled Pork & Mac & Cheese together! It sounded tasty!
I just made a quick version for a meal.
What I used:
- Kraft Easy Mac
- Pulled Pork (I had batch cooked before plain)
- Salsa Verde
- Green Chile Powder (for some extra kick with New Mexico flavor)
I just made the Easy Mac in the microwave according to the package direction. Then I warmed up the pulled pork in the microwave for ~60 seconds (separate from the mac & cheese).
I added the pork on top of the Mac & Cheese.
Then I poured some salsa on top and added some cheddar and microwaved it for 45-60 seconds, so the extra cheese melted. I added Green Chile Powder for some extra kick and authenticity.
