Ferris Wheel Cookie Painting for Ferris Wheel Day (Feb. 14!)
Updated: Aug 29, 2020

I made a Ferris Wheel cookie painting for Ferris Wheel Day! I used a new technique that I have not used yet for the sky. :)
What is Ferris Wheel Day?
"February 14 is Ferris Wheel Day, a day to honor the life and time of Ferris wheel inventor George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr. Now a mainstay of theme parks and fairs, the Ferris wheel debuted at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, United States."

I did the background sky and ground first and let that set & dry completely before I painted the Ferris Wheel. I painted a heart in the middle of the Ferris Wheel because Feb. 14 is also Valentine's Day.
To make the sky, I used a wet-on-wet technique.
First, I painted on the white sky. Then while it was still wet, I put some blue dots in different places & I used a toothpick to create swirls for the clouds. I think it turned out well!
As I mentioned above, I let this completely dry & set and did the Ferris Wheel details later.

Give it a try! We are good at this!
