Evolution Cookies for Darwin Day! (Feb. 12!)

Updated: Aug 29

To celebrate Darwin Day, I decided to make cookies that depicted the evolution of mankind. :)

I used the same easy sugar cookie dough and non-Royal Icing icing that I wrote about previously. (link)

I used a similar technique that I described for the Mondrian Puzzle Cookies (link) in that I used a photo of the internet to make parchment paper stencils.

I used this image from this DNA India article and traced the figures onto parchment paper using a pencil. I have not checked, but it is unlikely that there are cookie cutters in this shape. Haha. :)

I cut the stencils out and then traced them & cut them out in cookie dough.

I decided to color the icing in different colors of blue as a gradient to show the change and evolution of mankind. I think they turned out well!

Give it a try! We are good at this!
