Easy Keto/No-Carb Calzone
This is an Italian variation of the Easy Keto/No-Carb Taco that I came up with to give you another option for those New Year's resolutions. Haha. :)
You make a giant frico parmesan crisp and shape it like a taco shell; this replaces the dough in a traditional calzone.
You can stuff it with things that you would normally put it in a calzone. I put sausage, tomato sauce and some mozzarella cheese. Yum!
If you didn't catch the other posts, to make the giant frico:
First, set up a wooden spoon (or something with a rod/handle) over 2 glasses or cups.
-- You will hang your cheese shell over the rod to form the taco shell.
In a non-stick pan on medium/medium-high, put a big mound of shredded parmesan cheese.
After ~60 seconds (or when the bottom is crisp), then flip it and cook it for ~60 seconds.
To form the shell:
Hang your cheese over the rod/handle of the wooden spoon until the shell shape forms. :)
Fill with any ingredients you like. :) I just microwaved some cooked Italian sausage I had with some tomato sauce and mozzarella.
