Easy 3-Ingredient Brie and Cranberry Tart

Brie and cranberry is a classic combination around the holidays, but it tastes good all the time too. :) This is a really easy way to make a pretty fancy looking tart with this great flavor combo that I came up with after seeing different YouTube videos and recipes on the Food Network.

While you may think a little tart like this is only for parties, you can see I just made a couple of tarts. You don't have to make a big batch. You can make a little for yourself. I've found that you can use part of the Pillsbury pre-made pie crust and put it back in the fridge and use it later. Also, it's so easy that you could make it every day.

The tartness of the cranberry goes really well with the creamy brie. Fillings / jams from other berries would taste good too and be pretty easy.

Ingredients (per tart):

- Brie cheese (~0.5 oz or how much you want depending on how cheesy you want it)

- Cranberry sauce (~1 tablespoon)

(You could use cranberry sauce or jam in a jar. I made my own: 10 oz. package of fresh cranberries, 1/2 cup of sugar and ~1/3 cup of water on the stove on low-medium. I had made it ahead of time & froze it until I wanted to use it.)

- Pillsbury pre-made pie crust (1/10 or 1/8 of 1 piece of dough; 2 come in a pack; you are putting the piece in a muffin pan and want it to fill the little compartment)

- Cooking spray

Equipment: Muffin pan, oven

1.) Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2.) Spray muffin pan with cooking spray.

3.) Cut a 1/10 or 1/8 piece of pie dough and press it into 1 compartment.

4.) Spoon in some cranberry sauce

-- If your cranberry sauce/jam has been in the fridge, before using it, microwave whatever you are going to use for 30 seconds to make sure its a little warm and not frozen.

5.) Cut a chunk of brie (~0.5 oz.) and put it on top of the cranberry sauce.

-- It is okay to eat the rind. :) And it makes it much easier for you if you don't try to cut off the rind.

6.) Put them in the 400 degree oven for 12-15 min. or until the pie crust is golden brown.

7.) Eat!

So easy! Give it a try! We are good at this! :)
