Cute Cookies: Fried Eggs
Updated: Mar 15, 2020
I thought I didn't like it when desserts are shaped like savory foods, but these cookies shaped like fried eggs were so cute and easy to make.
I saw them in a compilation video and I couldn't figure out which one I watched. Here is another YouTube video, which also has a cute pan, which I didn't make.

To make the fried egg, you need plain sugar cookie dough and yellow candy melts.
I had some sugar cookie dough around for other art projects, which was already chilled.
I just free-handed the shape of a fried egg and put 1 yellow candy melt on it for the yolk. I didn't use a circle cookie cutter because I thought it would be more realistic if it wasn't perfect.
RESULT: Success! :)
We are good at this! How cute is that? I thought the yellow candy melt yolk might melt in the oven, but it stood up. I even took a pic with some real bacon -- not a bacon-shaped cookie. Haha. :)
It's so easy and fun. They are good on any day, but they would look especially cute in a brunch set up.
Give it a try! We are good at this!
