Cranberry Relish/ Cranberry Sauce w/ Sliced Pears (/ Cranberry Relish Day!)

This is an easy cranberry recipe w/ Sliced Pears I came up with, then I blinged it up with some edible gold luster dust. Haha! :)
It's #CranberryRelishDay! 🥳 Some fun facts: Cranberries are one of the few fruits native to North America. 🔹 A Thanksgiving staple, over 400 million pounds of cranberries are consumed in the US each year and 20% are consumed Thanksgiving week! (teachervision.com)

The nice thing about it is if you cook it for Cranberry Relish Day; you can freeze it and then just defrost it on Thanksgiving -- saving you some time. Cranberry Relish / Sauce is easy, but it takes up a burner on the stove.
Or if you finish it before hand -- then you gotta make some more! Haha! :)
Or you can post a past photo or one you are going to make to join in on the fun!

What I used:
- 1 bag of Ocean Spray cranberries
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup to 1 cup of sugar (depending on how tart you like it. You can always add more sugar, but you can't take any out. :)
- 1 pear sliced long ways

I got the idea to add pear from a pear & cranberry pie I saw on Trisha Yearwood's Southern Kitchen and then I got the idea to slice them long ways from a Pear & Potato Gratin I made.

I just put the water, the cranberries, and 1/2 cup of sugar in a pot on medium-low, low heat for 45 min. or so. I added the pears in when the raspberries were almost done, so they wouldn't get too soft.
Then it was thought the cranberries were still to tart, so I mixed in half-cup of shoulder.
I added on the gold lustre dust for some flair. Haha! :)
That's it! Give it a try! We are good at this!

Here they are without edible gold lustre dust.
