Cheesy Pulled Pork French Fries / Pulled Pork Day


This was inspired by the Campfire Fries at Bonfire BBQ in Asheville, North Carolina I saw on Burgers, Brew, & 'Que on the Cooking Channel with Michael Symon! I'm posting it for Pulled Pork Day, which is Oct.12 this year!

I love pulled pork! I often make a batch of plain pulled pork and then use smaller portions to make different meals for myself as I wrote about in this post.

What I used:

- Frozen French Fries

- Pulled Pork (I had made beforehand) - BBQ sauce

- True Lime packet (They used real lime juice)

- Mozzarella cheese

- Sour cream












I baked the French fries and then I put them in this oven-safe dish.


I mixed some pulled pork with BBQ sauce. It was cold, so I warmed it up in the microwave for ~60 sec.


I added the BBQ pulled pork to the cooked French fries and added some cheese. I sprinkled the True Lime powder packet on there and baked it for a few more minutes until the cheese was melted. Yum! I also had some sour cream for another tangy sauce.


I would not have thought to put lime juice on fries, but it adds some really nice acid to the sweetness of the BBQ pulled pork!
