Can I Make "Super Cheesy Potato Wedge Dip"?
Updated: Aug 29, 2020

I saw this Tastemade YouTube video with a dish with potato wedges that you dip into cheesiness. It looked really good and a way to eat potatoes w/ cheese without utensils. Haha. :)
Attempt #1:
I made a mini-version and took some shortcuts using what I had in my place. I was more interested in using potato wedges to eat a cheesy dip.
They baked potato wedges and made a cheese sauce from scratch, which seemed like salsa con queso. I had Tostitos Salsa con Queso in a jar, so I just used that. Also, to make it faster, I just microwaved my potato for a few minutes and then cut it into wedges.

What I used:
- Tostitos Salsa con queso
- Other melt-y cheeses I had around (mozzarella and cheddar)
- 1 red potato
As I mentioned above, I microwaved the potato for a few minutes until it was soft and then cut it into wedges (not shown).
I put some of the cheeses and salsa con queso into a ramekin. I put the potato wedges into the ramekin.

I added more cheese on top and put it under the broiler on HI for 5 minutes or until the top was nice and brown.
RESULT: Success! :)
We are good at this! It is really good and cheesy! Check out the video with the cheese pull below. Haha. :) If you have more time, baking potato wedges as in the Tastemade video will make your potatoes crisper; a Russet potato or starchy type potato might work better for this. If you don't have that much time, microwaving some potatoes works fine. :)
Give it a try! We are good at this!

That's a real cheese pull! :)
