Can I Make "Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread"?
This Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread from Tasty on YouTube looked good and I had the ingredients around, so I decided to make a mini-version. :)
What I used:
- 2 Pillsbury biscuits
- Mozzarella cheese (1 oz.)
- Marinara sauce
- Pepperoni slices (a few slices)
- Oregano (to sprinkle on top)
- Chili Pepper flakes (to sprinkle on top - not shown)
- Olive oil (to sprinkle on top - not shown)
- Shredded Parmesan (for a little more cheesiness after it's baked; optional)
Equipment: 4" springboard pan and knife
I preheat oven to 350 degrees.
I found when I made Everything that I can get 7 little pieces from 2 biscuits for Monkey Bread.
I cut the string cheese into 7 pieces. I put a little marinara sauce, cheese, and pepperoni on each little piece of dough. Then I wrapped them up as a ball. I put them in the springboard pan with the seam side down, which helps to keep the dough balls together.
I sprinkled some olive oil on top as well as some oregano and chili pepper flakes and baked it for about 15-17 min.
RESULT: Success! :)
We are good at this! They are really good and easy to make! Nice and cheesy and like pepperoni pizza all in one bite. There is something fun about making and eating monkey bread or pull-apart bread. :)
I made a small amount to snack on. Obviously you can make 1 or 2 whole containers (8 or 16 biscuits) and make a big Monkey Bread like in the video.
Give it a try! We are good at this!
This is what it looked like when it came out of the oven. Yum! I added some parmesan and put it back in the oven for a few more minutes...
