Can I Make "North Carolina Pulled Pork"?
Updated: Aug 25, 2020

I grew up in STL and BBQ is sweet & smoky; lots of different things, but maybe most traditionally St. Louis Ribs. I'm a fan on BBQ and know there are lots of different types all around the US. I had never had North Carolina pulled pork yet, but I wanted to try this one I sawa on Pinterest from asweetpeachef.com as it looked good and I heard it is vinegar-based and this was different than what I had growing up.

As I have mentioned I cook for myself and I make big batches of pulled pork plain and then add in seasonings or sauces after it's cooked. That way I can get a variety. I decided to try it with this North Caroline pulled pork, so I started with cooked plain pulled pork.

What I used:
- Pulled pork
- Vinegar
- Apple cider vinegar
- Garlic powder
- Onion Powder
- Paprika
- Cayenne Pepper
- Brown sugar
- Salt & Pepper
I just added it all to the plain pork and let it marinate for ~15-30 min.
RESULT: Success! :)
We are good at this! There was a really good tang-y flavor! Even in that short time. It was different than other pulled pork I have had before, but I really liked it. I put it on a sandwich.
If you haven't tried North Caroline style BBQ, check it out!
Give it a try! We are good at this!
