Can I Make "No-Knead Cheesebread"?

This No Knead Cheesebread video on Pinterest from pinchofyum.com looked really good and pretty easy too! I felt like having a bacon cheeseburger and being low on bread, I decided to make the No-Knead Cheesebread and make a couple that were smaller and bun-sized. :)

Attempt #1:

I made 1/2 recipe (half of the ingredients beow) and then made 1 loaf (photo above) and 2 buns.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast

  • 1 1/4 cups room temperature water

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1 cup shredded cheese of choice

-- I also put some bigger chunks of cheese, so there would be even more melt-y cheese

It's similar to the No-Knead Cinnamon Raisin bread from tastylittledumpling.com that I made before, but this has cheese obviously. That was really good too. Check it out!

You pretty just mix everything together and let it rise overnight.

I like to use my tip to help dough rise by creating a warm environment to activate the yeasties and putting the metal bowl on a low burner for 20-30 seconds before leaving it to rise overnight. Check out the post. Only do this if you are using a metal mixing bowl!

The next morning, you can see it had risen nicely (photo)! I used my hack to make a Dutch oven with 2 metal bowls and a fork that I did with the Cinnamon Raisin bread.

Because I was making 2 buns/rolls and 1 loaf, I baked it in 2 batches.

RESULT: Success!

We are good at this! Yummy cheesy bread! Check out one of the photos where I tore it open to show the cheese!

Fun easy recipe! It takes a few minutes before you go to bed, then the next morning only a few minutes of active work -- and then fresh cheesy bread! Check out pinchofyum.com.

Also, check out the monstrosity bacon cheeseburgery I made with one of cheesy bread rolls. :)
