Can I Make "Buffalo Chicken Cheese Balls"?
Updated: Aug 29, 2020

This recipe from Aaron McCargo, Jr. of the Food Network looked good, so I had to try it! It’s a bunch of my favorite things in one bite.

Attempt #1:
I just made a mini-version with some rotisserie chicken and a little cheese I got at the salad bar. I was a little skeptical that the cheese balls would hold together with just chicken & cheese, but I decided to give it a try. 😊

What I used:
- Rotisserie chicken (hand-shredded)
- Bleu cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Hot Sauce / Chicken wing sauce
For breading:
- Flour
- Egg
- Panko breadcrumbs
I mixed the chicken, bleu cheese, cheddar cheese and hot sauce / chicken wing sauce all together and formed balls. To my surprise, they pretty much stayed together.
Then I breaded them in flour, egg, then Panko breadcrumbs and fried them.
RESULT: Success!
We are good at this! They are really good and pretty simple to make.
As I mentioned above, I was skeptical that it would work and I was pleasantly surprised that the chicken and cheese did stay together into a ball. They are a good snack or if you make a bunch, they are a good appetizer for a party.
Give it a try! We are good at this!
