Can I Make a "Bunny in a Carrot Drawing"?
This drawing fits for Easter, but bunnies are cute any time of the year. :) I saw it on Pinterest from trendyss.com.
I like these little drawings because it's a fun way to use a little creativity in a short time and it makes you & whoever (in my case, my baby nephew) you give it to smile.
What I used:
I watch the little tutorial over and over again when I'm drawing them; they are like 30 seconds long. What is cool about the video on Pinterest is that the artist draws it in pen! And it looks good!
I always sketch it out in pencil before going over it with marker. :)
It took me a couple tries to get the fold or the pleat right. Haha! I just used those papers for scratch papers.
Tips for the fold/pleat of the card:
You want the pleat or fold -- only to be 1/2 inch to 1 inch or so, so when you open it, the area for the bunny is not too big!
You also want to do it on the upper 1/3 or so of the paper, so that the bottom of the part of the carrot is longer.
Here is one where I messed up the fold/pleat and there was a very large area for the bunnies. Then I thought: Oh, I'll draw 3 bunnies, but then I didn't like the bunnies and thought my baby nephew wouldn't be able to tell what they were. :) I just used it as scratch paper.
Messed up one:
This one turned out pretty good!
RESULT: Success. :)
We are good at this! I would give myself a full ! , but the carrot is kind of short and my nephew though it was a strawberry. But he may have been making a joke; he's a funny kid. :)
