Can I Make a Bowl Made of Popcorn & Chocolate?

When I saw this Scrumdiddlyumptious YouTube video where they made a bowl out of popcorn & white chocolate filled it with dark-chocolate coated popcorn, I had to try it! It looked so funny to have your bowl holding the popcorn made of popcorn too. :)
Attempt #1:
They made it look really easy!
- They microwave some popcorn and put it in a big bowl and then cover it with a smaller bowl to make a mold of a bowl.
- Then they pour some melted white chocolate over the popcorn and they let it set/harden.
Then, you have a bowl made of chocolate and popcorn!
They also coated some popcorn with melted dark chocolate to fill the bowl.

What I used:
- Skinnygirl popcorn
- White chocolate
- Dark chocolate
- Equipment/Supplies: Big bowl, smaller bowl and some plastic bags
I microwaved some popcorn and placed it in the big bowl and then put a smaller bowl on top. Then I poured some melted white chocolate in. They used a lot more chocolate than I did; they probably used 1 or 2 cups of melted chocolate -- it was more chocolate w/ some popcorn. I didn't think my popcorn was going to drip down and get to the base of the bowl, so I picked up the smaller bowl and poured some chocolate directly onto the popcorn (right photo).

I let it set in the fridge without the small bowl on top.
After 1 hour or so, I took it out of the fridge and tried to get it out of the bowl. Note: In the video, it came out really easily. Haha. :) Part of it solidified together, which made it more

RESULT: Success / Fail. :)
We are good at this. / We are good at this? Part of it solidified together, but it was more of a chocolate/popcorn platter than a complete bowl. :) See photos below.
I made some dark chocolate popcorn and put it on the platter. You can see me hold it in mid-air and it is a solid platter. :) (Last photo)
As I noted above, they used a lot more chocolate than I did. If I used more chocolate or "glue," I probably would have been able to form a better bowl. On the upside, the one I made was healthier because there was less chocolate.
Give it a try! It's fun. If you don't make a complete bowl (like me), it doesn't matter, it still tastes good. :) We are good at this!
