Butternut Squash & Mushroom Galette #2
This is Butternut Squash & Mushroom Galette #2. A galette is a rustic cake or tart which can be savory or sweet. It can be for brunch or lunch or a side dish; really you can eat it anytime of day. :) This post also has an unexpected way to use Onion dip. The difference between this one and the first one I made is that there is Heluva Good French Onion Dip and Blue Cheese mixed in with the filling with butternut squash and mushrooms, garlic powder.
This is the original Butternut Squash & Mushroom Galette.
What I used:
- Fresh Mushrooms
- Butternut Squash
- Heluva Good Onion Dip
- Roth Blue Cheese
- Shredded Parmesan
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Kroger pie crust
You basically just roll out some pie dough and put in your filling -- which can be sweet, but obviously here it is savory. Then you fold over the edges and bake at 400 degrees! That's it!
The onion dip and a nice tanginess and flavor and the blue cheese added some funk! It's a really good flavor combo with the mushrooms and butternut squash.
