Brussel Sprouts - 4 Ways!

Since we are all on a health kick, here are 4 ideas for brussel sprouts! They are oft-hated, but I think that's because they are mushy a lot of times. I'm not big on veggies myself (haha :) , but these ones taste good because they are crispy.

These are 4 of 17 things that I cooked for a Christmas feast. :)


I bought brussel sprouts prepped and cut up, which saved time. They were ready to go for the oven.

To prep for brussel sprouts 4 ways from the same package:

1.) Took the outer leaves off of some of the brussel sprouts for Roasted Brussel Sprout Leaves

2.) Chopped up some of the inner brussel sprouts into smaller pieces for Brussel Sprout Latkes and Brussel Sprouts & Bacon Pot stickers

3.) Just roasted some of brussel sprouts for Roasted Brussel Sprouts (like on the package)

If you only want to make Roasted Brussel Sprouts, then obviously you don't need to cut them up or take off the leaves. Haha. :)


1.) Brussel Sprouts Latkes from 'Girl Meets Farm' on the Food Network.

Instead of traditional potato latkes (potato pancakes), she substitutes brussel sprouts for a fresh take on a traditional Jewish food.

2.) Roasted Brussel Sprout Leaves

They are light & crispy. They kind of taste like potato chips, probably I guess more like kale chips, though I've never had kale chips. Haha. :)

3.) Roasted Brussel Sprouts (in a Muffin Pan)

4.) Brussel Sprouts & Bacon Pot Stickers

Also from 'Girl Meets Farm' on the Food Network. A lot of egg roll recipes have cabbage in them, so adding brussel sprouts is just a twist on that.
