Brisket Fried Rice / Tip: Using Leftover Eggs
Here's another version of fried rice! As I mentioned before you can use it to use up leftovers or clean out your fridge.
Also, when I make something that uses egg whites -- like meringues for example, then I don't like to let the egg yolks go to waste, so I make a fried rice or something to use the egg yolks.
This is an easy thing to whip up and use up some leftovers for Lunar New Year on Feb. 12, 2021 this year too.
Here's another Fried Rice post
Here's an example of a meringue post
What I used:
- Leftover beef brisket
- Egg yolks & 1/2 egg (leftover from other recipes)
- Soy sauce
- Oyster sauce
- Garlic Powder
- Chopped Onions
- Green onions (for garnish)
I put some oil in a pan on medium / medium-high, then I added the leftover Brisket in small strips. This allowed the brisket to crisp up and have a different texture and some carmelization. Then I added the rice to the pan and the eggs. I added a little bit (1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon) of soy sauce and 2 teaspoons of 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce -- you can add as much to your liking. I also added some garlic powder and chopped onions and some green onions on top.
Yummy hearty meal that comes together in ~5-10 min.!
Give it a try! We are good at this!
