7 of 12: Seven Swans-a-Swimming / Swan Pavlova

This is a cute idea I saw from Woman's Day! I was excited to try to make it because I tried to make a meringue type dessert and I FAILED! Haha! :) So I was wondering if I could do it.

That was when I tried to make this dessert inspired by the Elephant Toothpaste

I learned to wait until the egg whites are room temperature, so that's what I did!

What I used:

- 4 egg whites

- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

- 1 cup of sugar (Not shown. Actually I used granulated sugar, not super fine, so i didn't know if it was going to work.)

I whipped the egg whites and they got fluffy!. I added some sugar and I actually did it a couple tablespoons at a time. I must have whipped it for 10 minutes and it was not stiff peaks as it was supposed to be, but I decided to try it in the oven at 240 degrees and see what happened...

I piped some sort of swan looking figures with a swan head and body in pieces on parchment paper. One really looked like a swan...

Then I baked them for 1 1 /2 hours.

And it worked! Even though it wasn't stiff peaks!

Before baking

Look at the swan! And they taste good too! Very light and sugary!

Give it a try! We are good at this!
