3 of 12 - 2020: "Three French Hens" / Chicken Cordon Bleu Dip / Microwave Oven Day

This easy cheesy Chicken Cordon Bleu Dip I came up with is inspire by the lyric "3 French Hens"! Chicken Cordon Bleu is typically a breaded piece of chicken stuffed with ham and cheese. I turned it into a dip!
I'm also posting it for Microwave Oven Day!
I use microwaves ALL THE TIME and especially when making dips or things that I want to have a crunchy topping. This dip as you will see has a Panko Parmesan topping, which I browned in the oven.
I could have put it in the oven for 30-40 min. which also would have made the crust brown and the dip hot and cheesy, but instead I just microwaved it for 1 minute and put it in the oven at 400 degrees and make the crust golden brown for ~5-7 min. It saves a lot of time (as you know)! Actually, microwaves played a big role in women's liberation and feminism -- by literally liberating women from the kitchen and giving women more time and women could hold full-time jobs and they / their families could still eat.
Dec. 6 is Microwave Oven Day!

Tip: As I mentioned above, I make a lot of dips in the microwave and then finish them in the oven for a few minutes if they have a crust topping.

What I used (in this dish):
- 1/2 Boursin Garlic & Herbs cheese
- 2-3 oz. of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- 2 slices (or more if you like) HormelHam (cut into small pieces (1 cm)
- ~5 oz. of Valley Fresh shredded or cubed chicken (You can use rotisserie chicken or shredded chicken)
- Panko bread
- Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Cooking spray
If you make it in a bigger dish or like different ratios, please adjust.
Tips: First, I sprayed the dish with cooking spray; I find this makes the dish easier to clean -- no matter what I'm making in it.
Then, I put chunks of Boursin and cream cheese in the dish. Next I put little pieces of ham and chicken in the dish. Then I microwaved it for 60 seconds.
Then I used a spoon to mix it together.
You could eat it here!
But I added a Panko Parmesan topping! Yum! Then I put it in the oven for 5-7 min, so the top could get nice and golden brown.

I also toasted some crostini with a little olive oil to have iwth it. You could also use crackers or chips.
Here it is! Easy and cheesy Chicken Cordon Bleu Dip! :)
Give it a try! We are good at this!
