3-Ingredient Cherry Cobbler / Cherry Cobbler Day


I got this 3-ingredient cherry cobbler recipe from CDkitchen.com on Pinterest! It interested me because it was only 3 ingredients!

What I used:

- 1 can of cherry pie filling

- 1/2 box of yellow cake mix

- ~6-10 oz. of Sprite (didn't have 7-Up)


This was half the recipe.














I preheat the oven to 350 degrees.


I opened the can and poured it in a 9 x 9" baking pan that I lined with parchment paper. To help the parchment paper stay in place, I sprayed the metal baking pan with cooking spray. I think I learned that from Girl Meets Farm on the Food Network.


Then I poured half the cake box on top of the cherries. Then I poured ~6 oz. of Sprite on top of the cake mix. It fizzed and foamed up. I was wondering if it would bake...haha! :)


I baked it ~45 min.


At 45 min. I noticed there was baked cake, but there were also areas with dry cake mix left. I patted down those areas and poured some more Sprite on top of them.


Then I baked it for ~20 min. more at 400 degrees (I increased the temp.)


In total it baked for ~1 hour, 5 min.


It tastes really good with some vanilla ice cream.


Also, it tastes even better to me the next day when all the flavors blend overnight when it's sitting in the fridge.
